eset security review

ESET’s suite offers the most value for money. Its malware detection rate is close to perfect, and it packs a solid collection of extra features into a small footprint. The premium version comes with parental controls, a secure web browser and password manager in addition to the Android version comes with an anti-theft feature that helps you locate your missing phone. The security features for networks are also excellent, including the option of a firewall as well as to scan your home devices for vulnerabilities.

SysInspector is one of the most impressive tools. It provides a snapshot of important Registry entries and running processes. It can be intimidating for novices. If, however, you are familiar with extended task managers such as the ones in Sysinternals Process Explorer, you will feel right at easily.

Scheduling scans on demand is another fantastic feature. This is an excellent alternative to real-time security, and it’s simple and quick to use. It’s a shame that ESET does not include this in its list of other scheduling tasks and its UI makes it more difficult to find in comparison to some of its competitors.

Other important features include a powerful form filler for online banking, an outstanding spam filter that scores the best scores in our tests, as well as a effective password manager that’s simple to use. The password manager is available in the premium version and requires an ESET account, but it’s as efficient as most standalone solutions I’ve tried.
